    C3320i C9701

Hello, I have a relatively new C3320i that keeps showing the error C9701. I have already replaced the CIS and the ribbon cable.
Has anyone had such a case?
    Thanks for your help.

Hi, have you tried the CISRYB connections?

I’ve had 5 of these machines delivered in shipment box arrived damaged. They poorly protect the upper portion of machine with only a thin foam paper instead of a larger enclosed of impact resistant foam. So I’m not surprised of any skews or ribbon cable damage Is make sure to check closely fro structural damage to feeder and hinges. I’m going to check for a thread or post to warn if the box received as the slightest ding to open box immediately in front of freight delivery to start a warranty claim.

    Hello everyone
We have had this error in the current 50s i-series for some time now. We now also have a backorder at Konica-Minolta for the scanners.

Is there a solution to the problem and do other technicians also have to deal with this error several times? In any case, the packaging of the devices has not improved in the last 2 years :-(

In most case it was the scanner ribbon cable at fault, visible damage.
If you need to check the CIS is working you can swap it with the one in the ADF on the 3350i's, for fault finding purposes.

    Hey colleagues

there is probably a change in the ribbon cable routing on the CIS housing of the scanner.

I'll take a look and have ordered the parts.

    Many greetings from Germany :-)

    Hi,

Tip! Change the "Scanner Flat Cable" and "Frame", also replace the connectors when you replace the cable
