Bizhub 808, C759 black drum counter

    Hey all,

Last week I replaced the black drum on an 808 and after gradation, the counter didn't reset. It showed "Stabilizing" once I closed the door (like normal) but never went back to 100%. I wrote it off to "whatever". Then yesterday I replaced the black drum on a C759 and ran into the same thing. Both were replaced because of imaging issues. Now I'm thinking it's something I might be missing.

    Anyone else?

    Ideas?

    Thanks!

bizhub 808 is from 758-808-958 family. As for not resetting life counts maybe drum has bad chip.

    Edit:
Also check for bent pins inside machine may not read correctly new chip.

Also, don't forget to press Start after you have completed gradation. In Service Mode it says this in the black box right above where you hit Gradation. Easy to overlook this.
