The space that i have fixed is not in relation with any other gear then the metal motor gear so i can't imaging, there is no reason not to try this modification.
Last friday i found out if you press the movable gear on the machine side the noise disappears immediately, thats why i fix the gear.
I guess the helical teeths runs not synchron, because the angles of the shafts are not perfect. Any change can make more or less tollerance.

Hi, it was the only one.
And yes the fix holds until today. The gear can't slip left/right on the axis anymore.
