C458 - scan to email

hi guys,

currently having an issue with scan to GMAIL, always getting a log in error. Details are as follows

smtp.gmail.com

start TLS

port 587

input correct user name and password for authentication, even tried another email username and password

ive put googles dns into the machine.

ive adjust the security protocols

the machines are on the latest firmware

now the machines have paper cut on them, would that cause an issue? i am trying to scan from the machine itself and not through paper cut.

never mind guys got it working, used a personal GMAIL account and its worked

Hi, if it worked it means that in the previous account you have to enable "access via unsecured apps" in the Google security settings.
This can help you for the next few times.

private gmails are no problem, when google hosts your domain then scan to email will no longer work from an MFP.
thats my take.
