    if you change more than just ssd. yes all is destroyed. If you attempt a unwiped used drive. counter info could be scrambled . if you try any used uncleared board in the i series results are always bad.

    I didn't quite understand whether you formatted the old storage board or used a new one.
    If you are using a new one, I wonder if it has to be a certain type.

    both, however the new ones i have are from new damaged km stock and have to be formatted. There is an in machine way of doing the same thing but it requires a password code number to execute.
