    C227 internal error

    Hello,

One bizhub C227 sometimes displayed internal error and reboot itself, when user copy / scan document through original glass.
I check the trouble code history, the codes ranking are CFA17>CDFA0>C9401, so I reconnected the flat cable and clean the scanner section.
    ( F/W version G00-Y0 )

    Any suggestion about this issue?

I have seen the flat cable breakdown on units with high scan counts. the repeated flexing wears the conductors out ,you can actually see the cracks is you remove the teflon backing tape.

I think I'd start with the CCDB. We've seen quite a lot of CCDB failures on 754e series, 658 series, 808 series, especially in very high scan volume environments. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

c227 is not a konica scanner . no ccd uses cis built into first mirror/lamp unit (cis unit)

so you consider the flat cable is the most possible cause?

you can see the broken traces if you inspect the ribbon cable. if there are ripples in it, its falling apart on the inside.

I'd start first by updating the firmware & then the function version.

When scanning/copying the HDD is being written to so you could have a failing HDD.
