    No boot device found b1100

    Hi,

We have been having lots of unexpected power outages and loadshedding. As a result when the power returned my B1100 displays a black screen " BOOT NOT DEVICE FOUND".

I am unable to enter service mode hence I doubt firmware will help at this point. I will try reseat boards tomorrow as this issue occur late this afternoon.

Has anybody had this error in this group.

firmware is a boot device and once the FW has been loaded, it basically rewrites the OS and it should boot up.

    Hi,

I am unable to access service mode to do Firmware. Reseated all connectors and boards still no luck.

I am now suspecting the SSD, has anybody had an SSD fail on this model?

do you have the service manual?
also if you hold down utility while booting will it go into service mode?

you can try ISW firmware method before replacing anything, you hold down the 2 keys to "boot" in ISW mode follow the manual and see if it takes. there is an order of install i think.

    Note
    ▪ When you replace SSD (SSD), perform ISW of the following firmware.
    ▪ Image control (I)
    ▪ Tonic (T)
    ▪ Browser (W)
    ▪ Controller (P)
    ▪ When you replace SSD, perform ISW of the Image control first. When the firmware of the image control is not in SSD, you cannot
perform other ISW of the firmware.
    ▪ For how to get or replace the SSD, contact the service manager of Konica Minolta.
