    C-659, puked Developer....

Hey guys.. machine has about 250k and I went to replace the Drum Unit (was original) and put it in, and the machine immediately puked developer all over the inside of the machine... cleaned it all up (what a mess, because it dropped down into the laser slit glass area as well) and reinstalled everything, and the machine printed normally. I'm, of course, replacing the Developer Unit, but just wondered if anyone had ever seen that, and why it might have happened? I don't want to go putting another DV unit in there and have it do the same thing.

    Thanks in advance,
    OC

I always print MML list on troublesome machines. There are plenty of good info to check in these including voltages, TCR levels, error history etc. For the record which drum and developer?
