Hi All,
I am looking for the dipsw that enables the Thick.4 tab for tray 1 & 2 paper settings on E-range or 8 series.
I recently came cross this info on the forum but for the life of it I am unable to find it now that I need it.
Please if anybody can assist..

It's in the service manual I believe.
Plus why would you want to? Thick ass paper belongs on the bypass.
You are just asking for jamming from the trays but to each their own.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
Also don't ask me for files without a contributor badge.
I don't think you're going to find that DIPSW. Tray's #1, #2, #3, #4 are only good up to 256gsm (Thick 3).
You'll have to use the bypass for Thick 4 (257-300gsm). It's on pg C-2, C-3 of you service manual, if you'd like to read it yourself.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes I know it make no sense, however this requested by the client.
Client has a C554e they recently up graded to C558 and back up C554e. The old C554e has the Thick 4 setting for tray 1 & 2. Now the new devices do not display this tab.
I have compared dipsw list and still had no luck.
Even the spec sheet only shows up to 256gsm for all trays except bypass.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
Also don't ask me for files without a contributor badge.

Synt we already cleared spec values on another hand he hava machine showing Thick 4 even that is outside of recomended range.
