Has anyone tried using DV-610 Developer from the C7000 series in the C1060 series machines? Or even DV-613 for the C8000? Charging by weight of course.
I'm curious if it's the same or very similar formula. DV-614 prices have nearly doubled lately and it's killing me.

C6000/7000/8000/1085/1100 are same , C 1060 series not !
I substituted DV-610 instead of DV-614 in a C1060 today. The quantity is different and I wasn't exactly prepared for that, so I estimated the quantity of developer. It stirred without error and made good quality images. The shade of cyan is slightly different, but will self-correct as the TN-619C toner is drawn from the hopper. The big question for me is what will the quality look like in a month? =^..^=

Let's see how it works. This enduser runs 60% to 70% monochrome, so it wasn't going to make yield anyway. =^..^=

Interested to see how this works out over time. I have a very accurate refrigerant charging scale I could use to get the weight right. IMHO the C1060 series of machines used developing units that are way too small to keep up in high a productivity, high coverage environment. Constant issues with developer in them and the cost is way too high.
The biggest problem I've noticed is when the enduser does a lot of low density monochrome prints. The color developers tend to over-tone. Ideally, if the enduser did 100 full color images in-between 1500 black only images it would maintain density fine. Unfortunately my enduser does 100K black images consecutive, then wonders what happened to the color developers. I've taken measures to increase the frequency of the color patches, which does seem to help ... but it's not a solution.
The real solution is to have a monochrome only machine to run those monochrome images, but I don't expect that to happen.

We have a client similar to the one you mention, it prints 5 sheets per month in color and the rest in monochrome, finally I have chosen to deactivate the color in the adjustment process because the color in this client is not profitable.
And speaking of the DV subject, I have used the dv-610 in all the models that we have in maintenance and I have never had any problem with duration or quality.

My machine is holding quality fine, and the cyan has returned to it's normal hue. =^..^=
