    C454 prints think yellow

Hi there guys. I'm getting some bad prints from the c454. I thinking could be yellow developer unit but I'm not sure please take a look.
I've changed yellow drums. I've ran the printer without yellow toner so it would ask then out in a new yellow toner. I've added black developer powder and yellow
All the developer units are over 70 percent but the yellow which is under 10 percent. So I'm wondering if it needs changing. Would really lioe to know thanks

Please Post a picture of image quality so we can properly take a look.
Best bet is to go into service mode, do gradiation pattern and run yellow on 64/128 in A3 format

    Try this one:
    Attached Files Attached Files
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Either that but I prefer to stick to halftone pattern run for each color at 30 and 200 density.

Tried a different transfer belt? I ask because we had a similar issue just the other day on a C554e where it would put yellow all over the page during color prints/copies. I looked like a problem with yellow drum, but changing the drum didn't help. Tried a dev unit, same thing. Ended up being an issue with the roller for the yellow drum inside the transfer belt.

I have another transfer belt. Thanks I'll give it a try and see. Just need to get rhe tech in. We have a Xerox C75 and I can usually change that belt by myself. This 454 it's harder to get to and change on my own.
Thanks. I do see the yellow marking there on the belt but I keep wondering why is it happening though.

If you provided better samples maybe we could give you more accurate advice. =^..^=

    Re: C454 prints think yellow

I assume that the first sample picture is running landscape and it is a print. All of the colors drop off sharply towards that one direction. That would have to be something common to all colors...my first guess would be laser unit. Is this copier in a dusty/dirty environment? You may want to take out the entire laser unit and clean it/ inspect it. That would be my guess. Inspect the transfer roller on the inside of the door to make sure that unit is "springs" in and out ok. I have seen one of the two springs behind that assembly flipped out (not seated into its hole) which can give some weird transfer issues. Good luck and keep us posted. What country are you in?
