You certainly can, you need to swap the front bearing or front assembly, very easy to do, a few screws and a e clip from memory.

TCR sensor should be the same for K and color like in 4 series.

Agreed. Can be done but with a little bit of work. Nothing major.
Have done so a few times in the past when we ran into shortages.
