Nothing like day after day
Replace the flat bed scanner.
Its actually a very easy task and takes me about 15 - 20 minutes with an electric screwdriver. I take photos of the scanner adjustments from the donor machine before removal and enter these into the recipient machine. Theres no need to write off machines for bent scanners if you have donor machines available, it really is no big deal. I'm convinced the only reason they dont make them available as a spare part is because they've never figured out a way of shipping them in boxes without the mirrors etc all falling out in transit.
