    c250i stuck on boot screen

    Hello,

I have a Konica C250i stuck on 25%- 50% boot screen, I have tried to do a FW and recovery tool but the machine does't respond, just stays on the boot screen with the black dot top left corner, waited 15 mins, nothing, it's quite new machine around 10k total and has the Q8 FW fitted.

Any ideas on how to fix this? I don't have any spare boards either to try out with.

If you have tried the GXX firmware and it doesn't take it I would start by replacing the CPU board

Clean then format the ssd in the computer/using usb adaptor. Boot up with Q9 firmware. Works 9 out of 10 times. If not probably a CPU board

Do you mean remove the storage board, connect it to a PC and format it there? are there any instructions for doing this as I have never done that before so I don't know what adaptor I would need. What, if any, data would I need to re install by doing this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

If you can't save your settings and address book, I wouldn't recommend formatting or doing anything with STRGB.
Check if any firmware or utility/tool is loaded

    bizhub 450i/360i/300i - AC770Y0-F000-GXX-20.exe

It won't boot up even with an GXX tool I was told it's the SSD board that I need to replace so when it comes I will fit that, service manual says.

Actions after replacement of the board
    1. Turn ON the main power switch.
    2. Check the firmware version of the SSD Controller.
    I.6 Firmware Version
    3. If the firmware version of the SSD Controller is not the latest, upgrade the firmware.
    FIRMWARE
    4. The machine will reboot two times by itself. Wait until the trouble code (C-D3C0) screen appears.
    5. [Recover Data] appears on the trouble code screen, touch [Recover Data] to start the recovery of data.
    6. If there is any data retrieved with backup utility, conduct the recovery of data.

Re: c250i stuck on boot screen

Strange question but does the machine accept a print job in that 25% booted stage? Had it where the scanner caused the machine to hang there but it would accept print jobs so you should be able to ping it. Figured out it was the scanner after dissing functions by unplugging sections. It booted up without the scanner allowing me to isolate it while looking for the issue.

    Long shot...
    Whatever

    Nice catch.

It's either storage board most likely or CPU board uncommon.
