    Bizhub C250i poor fixing

Machine has 20k in total. First toners inside (OEM of course. Paper came out with clean picture but toner is smearing under the fingers (not fixed).
I raise the fixing temperature in service mode 10 degrees for plain paper. It was better but not 100%
Still you can erase toner from top and bottom of the page but not that easily as before.
Anyway, I left the customer with instructions to print on plain paper with thick1 setting which is also raised 10 degrees. For now, the result is good.

I had this problem on C3350i and solved it with new fuser.
I plan to order a new fuser for this one.

I wonder if this is a known issue for this model?

P.S. At first I suspected at dump paper, so I brought another with me.

There have been issues with the "i" series fuser discussed on this forum.

There is a new style fuser so if you order one make sure it's new style (see attached bulletin)

There certainly isn't a lot of detail in that bulletin. It would have been nice to know what changed. Or would that be too much like admitting there was a problem? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yes, it is. The fusers on the i-series don't last nearly the stated yield.

    I series premature fuser failure

Agree there wasn't much detail with the attached bulletin and I don't know the "i" series that well, this is why I told OP to that it has been discussed on this forum so he could seach posts for more details.

There is a revised TSB 13643 released 04/02/24.

    Overview
In order to improve efficiency in the field and reduce the burden of stock management for our partners, the fusers for the iSeries models have been combined for different versions. (There doesn't appear to have been a problem, just making one fuser work in all i-series).

The new style fuser will come with instructions. It adds an Adjusting plate (shim) and screw to the front side of the fuser. For color i-series there is a new filter assembly as well. Per the TSB you will have to adjust Dip Switches 12, 40 and 54 depending on what model you are installing on.

Install the new Fusing Unit. For your first-time installation, follow the steps outlined in the Installation Insert included in the package. If further information is required, reference “Replacing the fusing unit” in the Service Manual.

They won't start shipping the new style fusers until the current inventory is depleted as usual. But they must be out since we had a tech install one 2 weeks ago. It was pretty straight forward.
