    sc28-04

The error detection signal (blowout of a 24V fuse) of the high voltage unit /2 (HV2) is detected.
Found the broken charger wire and removed it and the eyelet ends. The machine powers up and goes to a ready condition but immediately displays the service code sc28-04 upon pressing the start button. Is there a fuse located anywhere that can be reset or how do I proceed from here.

    Thanks

Field Service Manual have 1365 pages and Theory of Operation 638 pages. (if you want to read)..........

CAUSE : The error detection signal (blowout of a 24V fuse) of the high voltage unit /2 (HV2) is detected.

    ESTIMATED ABNORMAL PART : ADU drive boards /1, /2 (ADUDB1, 2) High voltage unit /2 (HV2)

    Description
    SC28-04 shortly after power up.

CAUSE: ICP5 on ADUDB/1 has opened resulting in a loss of 24V DC to HV2.
SOLUTION: Replace the ADU drive board assembly (p/n 56UA-9070).

Thank you so much. Couldn't find that. Didn't really want to hear about replacing that board. Probably not cheap and there's 2 days of down time. Any way of repairing the board?

Send the board to the National Board repair center of Konica Minolta. In Canada, Calgary is the center to send boards to. I cannot recall if the US has their own or if they also send to Calgary. You can call the Calgary office and ask for Rob Custus or Mike Jackson for further details.

I replaced the AUDBD1 board $750.00 (ouch!) and when I removed the old board I did check the icp5 and did actually confirm it was open, Thank you albasoul06. Now when I turn the 1050 on it goes to a ready state but when the start button if pressed paper feeds just up to the separation charges, stops, an audible click is heard followed by an electrical hum or high pitch noise and the machine stops with an sc28-03 error. I quickly turned the machine off for fear of blowing another ADU board. I've checked the separation charger wires which I thought started this whole mess but everything there seems fine. Any thoughts?
