Serial numbers are entered in from service mode.
Because your machine is having trouble booting up, you will need to go into trouble reset mode and from there you can enter in the key sequence to get into service mode.
The serial numbers are in System1 from memory.
If you replaced a board, then you will need to make sure that you have also done a firmware upgrade as well because new boards often don't come with firmware pre-loaded and if they do, it is usually alot older than the version that is currently on the machine.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.
OK
so after i remove the NVRAm board and the machine boots
i enter the serial numbers from service mode
You pulled the NVram? Yeah, don't bother putting the serial number in as it won't have a place to store it too. I don't remember if there is a reset firmware for the NVram for this model or not. That would be the place I would start. Course, I'm a tech..... if I wasn't one I'd call one. I mean I'm pretty smart... but I'm smart enough to know when I'm in WAY over my head.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
did you flash firmware after you switch board? flash firmware is require on switch board.
