Try taking out the screw that holds the rear belt lock mechanism and replacing it with a screw 1/4 inch or shorter I have seen this screw come in contact with the gears (tranfer retracksion drive gears) behind the bracket if over tightened. Or if the wrong screw is put in after disassembly.

The standard fix for this is, if the belt is already factory modified per the technical notices, to tear the machine to pieces and replace the sensor mentioned by Synaux. It's located behind the main drum drive assembly. Replacing this sensor has solved the problem for me, every time.
Avskrap is right. This isn't a 20 minute job though, so don't be in a hurry. The modified sensor assembly is available from KonMin.
