Thanks EarthKmTech. Will check for IU issues etc. when we go out tomorrow.

NOTE: the first time went out. A school IT person said a teacher had tried to reseat the waste toner and somehow got the cover of the black IU/DV unit that sticks into right side of waste toner off. He had refitted it and said he cleaned up a little developer spill. When we were there that first time it did appear OK and that is when we first hand emptied the clog and it ran for quite sometime.

However, this may be a clue that you have brought up.

The only problem I've ever had with these waste toner receptacles is when one particular customer gets any error code. A picture comes up showing an illustration of the location of the main power switch, to turn it Off/On. In that illustration the customer sees a picture of the waste container. Assuming that the waste container is the problem, they put in a new container, take it out, put it in, take it out ... you get the idea. After the first 50 times they manage to break off the flag feature that trips the photosensor. Without that feature then they get a real waste container message (and the error code of course).

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
