E series rebooting problem. Who's dealing with it?

We've got one rebooting on startup, after 3 seconds it cycles. We changed SSDB, fw. All was good for a week - problems back. Got another SSDB on order.

Looks like its a power/sleep mode issue. Which is what I suspected in the first place. The bulletin9103 was updated to change settings for power consumption in sleep mode, after we replaced the part.

I had a customer that was complaining about this a couple of months ago, but I never saw it myself.

Hi - not sure what specific model you are referring to, but we have a bizhub C654e and I can tell you from a user perspective I see the system reboot itself at least once if not multiple times a day with error code C-FC04. Very annoying.

We already do the power sleep setting recommended by KM by default anyway during shop setup. I had an issue with the rebooting too on a C364e one month after install. We replaced the copier for this customer . The second copier for this customer then had the same issue after another month. I replaced the SSD and did the special firmware as recommended by KM. I also installed a Fluke line monitor to make sure there is no power issues but all is good and left it there for over month. But it happened again. Third failure for the same customer. The tech that is handling the third failure fortunately I had a backup of the address book and account track data. I made sure to have a backup because twice I spent 2 hours typing all that shit in.

In this case the copier will reboot and stay on for less than 5 seconds and then reboot with this pattern over and over.

I have a rental customer insisting to have two new BH-552 monochrome's. Shall I keep it off a while and let them continue to use their still very good working old machines?

Their boss is a woman and the only reason for the change is that she finds the old equipment "yucky"

552's don't have all the issues the "e" series are having.....

Sorry typo of course. The BH-552 is not available any more unfortunately. I meant the BH-554e. That's the one she want.

From what I'm hearing is that it's basically anything within the "e" series....
