    converting 220v c350 fuser to 120v fuser

    Hi all,
Just checking if any of you brilliant techs have ever converted a 220v c350 fuser to be used in a 120v c350 mfp. I've got a customer that needs a fuser replaced and I've seen a couple of them under $300 on the web, but 220v fuser. I was thinking I could swap the connectors on the fusers to make it work.
    Cheers,

    Richwalker.

If anyone has a used fuser (120v) that I can get/buy with the thermistors intact that would be great.

It's my understanding that it's the heat lamps that use either the 120Vac or 220vac. So if you kept the original modular connector, wire harness and heat lamps, you should be safe.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks blackcat4866, thought about that but wasn't sure if the connectors were a factor or not. I'll get the 220v unit and swap out the lamps as it's the thermistor that's broken on the unit.

Bit of a gamble this one & unnecessary, surely you can find a cheap 120v fuser online cheap somewhere!!???? even ask on this site!

Re: converting 220v c350 fuser to 120v fuser

Thanks all for the tips and suggestions. I bought a rebuilt unit online for less than 200. Got it 2 weeks ago and installed it in the C350 and it's all good now.
Thanks again for all the help.
