Kyrocera Taskalfa 250ci Firmware - Error Code C7401

You have to be joking with that response - that was whole point of the thread! Telling me to read a service manual (which, btw, does not say anything about having to be a dealer)...life does not have to be this difficult. Just tell me "no" from the get go instead of having me jump through hoops.

For those reading this, google "TASKalfa250_300_400_500ci_15.24.0010_(2013-12-20).zip" and you will find a few sites hosting the file. This will not get you to the latest, but it at least will get you recent enough to overcome C7401 error. I would post the file, but after the last reponse I suspect that is against "the rules".

Lastly, if anyone happens to know the filename for the most recent firmware, please share so that we may fetch it on our own.

You've got to upgrade to version 10 first:
TASKalfa Upgrade Pack 10.00 10-06-10 without Options.exe
TASKalfa Option Pack Ver 1.11 Firmware.exe

Then you can upgrade to any of the following versions:
Version 11
TASKalfa Upgrade Pack 11.00 1-4-11 without Options.exe
TASKalfa Option Pack Ver 1.12 Firmware.exe

Version 12
TASKalfa Upgrade Pack 12.00A 8-8-2011 without Options.exe
TASKalfa Option Pack Ver 1.13 Firmware.exe

Version 13
250ci 300ci Combined Firmware Upgrade Pack 13 5-10-2012.exe

Version 16
250ci 300ci Combined Firmware Pack 16.00.zip

The simple explanation is that on 10-06-2010 Kyocera split the Options off due to excessive file size. On 5-10-12 Kyocera split the firmware between Low: 250ci/300ci with options and High: 400ci/500ci with options. =^..^=

For what it's worth, I already performed the upgrade prior to your last post. I did not make me upgrade to v10 first - as far I know everything worked. I have the new developer in without any errors.

Hi, Would it be possible find this firmware somewhere, or can anyone share once more? I do have a problem with the scanner on my250ci, it makes a notice cannt use 2-side .. because of a fault. thx.

Why are we firmware hunting for this series. At best you find it and someone provides it for you.

Do you know how costly the maintenance kit for this thing is? The only scenario i would take this machine is if you paid me to recycle this with dynamite.

Make sure all your adf connectors are properly seated and run 906 in Maint mode.

That might get you in the clear.

Sounds to me like you've got a bad CIS in the ADF. And get the cooling fan while you're at it. Plan on spending $1200 for the parts if you can get them. =^..^=
