*6950 Fuser IH PWB communication error.

No response is received in 30 ms since a command is sent to IHCPU.
A checksum error is detected 10 times in succession.*

Service manual says to check your connections. Power the machine down and reseat ALL your connections. Start with the Power Source PWB, then the Feed PWD, Fuser IH PWB, and Engine PWB.

Sometimes connectors can get worked loose, and if one section of the machine can't talk to the other, it's going to code.

    Good luck.....

I think it's that service code that's blocking you. I'm willing to bet once you can get past that error code, you should be able to enter Service Mode as usual.

This will be the thermal fuse on the low voltage power supply. I believe there is a bulletin, but it is certainly common here in Australia. We repair our own.
There are a couple of small transformers on the board and there is a thermofuse tucked up in the windings under the yellow wrap. Easy repair.

Good information to have. I'm new to the Kyocera line so this is helpful going forward. Thanks.
