5002i. C-7100. Toner container motor
Machine says turn off and on. C-7100 every time. Tried new toner bottle. No help. Called hotline and they say replace toner container motor. He told me it was in the hopper assembly which is a pita to get out. Looking closer at the manual after that the toner container motor is not even in the hopper unit! I ran the toner mix on sim 30 and can hear a motor running but bottle is not rotating. Any ideas?? Thanks all!

The motor is in the back. You are just going to have to tear into it and see what is going on.

Has anyone had to replace the motor? I can hear it running in sim. 30. Toner mixing.

If the motor is running, you have a clog in the hopper assembly. PITA job but doable.

Re: 5002i. C-7100. Toner container motor
Thanks. Motor was running both ways. Bottle turning good. Cheated front door. On my 2nd service call it seemed to start working. The machine is located in a school and teachers left the machine out of toner without saying anything. My guess the bottle was taken in and out at least 20 times shaken by different teachers throughout the day. I put in new toner and I guess it took a while to get toned up or adjust itself. Not really sure. But the code never came back up.
