    kyocera 5050 laser code C4000

I've had quite a few of these in the field over the years and never had a laser problem till now. Replaced the laser and reseated all connectors but still getting intermittent C4000 codes. Turn it off and back on and it usually goes away for awhile. I'm starting to think board related, but curious if anyone has had this issue before I start swapping boards.

Laser codes on Kyocera are almost always a high voltage leak or a doorswitch issue. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks guys, after you mentioned it I remembered having a door switch problem years ago that was giving a weird code. Must be getting old, I didn't remember. I wish I could back up all my decades of knowledge in the cloud and pull it out back out when needed. I'll give it a try today, if I remember correctly it was the push in door switch that was the problem, not the lever switch, but I'll bring both.
