Kyocera 255 hazing pictures when printing

thumbnail_20191203_150713.jpgthumbnail_20191203_150724.jpgKyocera 255 copies fine, but when printing certain things like outline pictures for kids coloring it gets this garbage. I tried different drivers, they all do the same thing. Tried printing them from my computer and machine at the shop and they look fine, so it's not the webpage or the way they were scanned in. Most prints look great, whether a test page or from the net, but for some reason these type prints get that haze in them (second pic is a closeup) I seem to remember this problem from years ago but I don't remember what it was, any ideas?

... and you don't get cf248 codes? Hanabi don't like printing webpages. I would suggest saving your webpages as PDF documents, THEN send them to print. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Nothing wrong with the machine, it's in the file. Garbage in, garbage out.
    Hope that helps !

They are artefacts in the file. All you could do with this is lighten the print to reduce, but basically it’s a poor quality file so the poor old printer is just doin what it’s told!

If it were the 255c color model (Or any other kyocera color model), you can usually get rid of these artifacts by going into Printer Properties -> Imaging tab -> Color Reproduction drop down menu --> Select "Publications".

The black and white models don't have this option or an alternative that I can see.

Could try to install the 255c driver, and select the publications color reproduction option to see if that works. I know the 255 obviously doesn't have color tables, and I've never tested it for this purpose but it's worth a shot.

Re: Kyocera 255 hazing pictures when printing

Sigh, Ya'll just no help. Phil B must not even read my thread. I said it copies great and most prints look great, so how could it be a supplies/parts/paper problem. Others saying files, but I said it printed from the web just fine at my shop, same site and pic they were trying to print. I went back the next morning cause it was just around the corner and they were closing early the day before and I ran out of time. Simple fix, I changed emulations. It had defaulted to PCL XL, so I tried KDPL, no change. Then I tried PCL 5e and they came out fine. Don't ask me why. I left both drivers set up, let it default to the one but let them keep the other one so they could select it when printing outlines as pictured above. Happy customer, happy life.

That counts as it "being the file". You're welcome.
