Re: Kyocera Taskalfa 2551 back of the printed sheet is dirty

IS the toner OEM? If you used not genuin toner and then genuin , it doesn;t fix the problem .
Clean all the old toner (from drum , etx) and execute U130 (the same if you use only genuin toner).

Any resolution to this problem? We have a 306ci with similar issues. We have done a complete maintenance and problem still occurs. Using OEM toner.

    Samples? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    @mtcchuck,

if you get it on 306ci, it`s a nightmare because cleaning drive for belt won`t work anymore.
If you want`s to solve it, follow bulletin 2R4-0030 (I155)
(Same procedure to get entrance to the teeth belt/ driving gear)
If you are a lucky guy, shutter from belt won`t open because of deformed metal plate on left side....

I'M SURE that the back of the sheet is stained by the transfer roller. It gets loaded with toner, then after one full rotation of the roller, it is deposited on half of the back of the sheet....

Both Raparive and Gab mentioned toner, but you never said if it was oem or aftermarket. I haven't seen this on the 2551 but I've never used aftermarket in them since I learned on the earlier models that in some cases cheap toner could cause this problem. Both the 255/6525 and their color counterparts the 255c/8252 I learned that lesson the hard way. Didn't happen often, but I finally troubleshot the problem down when I swapped out developer units with oem toner already in them and problem went away. First side of copy looked fine, second side had backgound bands on it even though I wasn't doing double sided. Oem toner fixed the problem I still occasionally use aftermarket to save money with a few customers that never do 2 sided and don't care what the back looks like, but had to switch to oem for everyone else, wasn't worth the risk. Time is money also.

    Hi

Ive also come across this before ..... there was a TI released which basically advised replacing the parts pipe trns assembly that would be the small mechanisim that transports waste toner fromthe belt into the waste toner box....also occurs with generic toner use , would also advise ...
1 vclean the itb cleaning unit - strip and vaccum out then replacing if no success
