Re: Kyocera 5002i C7301 Toner Motor K Error

Help me to understand where the toner supply auger is located. I assumed it is part of the Toner Supply Drive Unit, which has been replaced.

I'm having difficulties locating that part number. Can you tell me where this "auger" is located, and part of what component might it be connected with?

there is no toner supply auger, toner just falls from the toner bottle into the dev unit.
there is a waste toner auger in the waste toner assembly and a waste toner auger in the transfer belt on the left hand side.

this model/family of machines has issues with toner blocking/backing up in the transfer belt and waste toner assembly. it can also get blocked in the feed pipe between the toner bottle and the dev unit.

    hope this helps...

First, allow me to thank everyone for the advice and suggestions. However, being unable to locate any toner blockages, and having replaced the following parts, Developer Unit, DR-6500 Main Drive Unit, Waste Toner Box, Toner Supply Drive Unit, and Feed Image PWB, I've come to an impasse. After all these parts were replaced, and no toner blockages found, I have to wonder why I'm still getting prints with print missing, light, or washed out.

Also, since I started this repair, and even after replacing said parts, not once has the machine shown any indications that it's adding toner, on the Op Panel.

I just had the same issue. All motors we’re running smoothly with no clicking. No toner packed any where (cleaned it out anyway). Turns out the internal gears in the dev unit were messed up. The gear to the motor was fine and turned the mag roller BUT it wasn’t turning the auger in the dev unit to advance the toner.
I replaced the dev unit and all is good.

I replaced the developer unit a few days ago with no positive results. Also, I replaced the Main Drive unit, Waste Toner Box(that's on the inner side of the Main Drive Unit.)
New Feed Image PWB, as well.

Re: Kyocera 5002i C7301 Toner Motor K Error

I know it's a old post but for the knowledge base, this is what that toner duct thingy looks like. We have a machine that just threw this code. New DV didn't fix it but the old DV unit had 730k on it (sales said it was getting upgraded, apparently it didn't ). The DV unit was kaput, im guessing it backed the entire system up. Likely that toner pipe is packed full of toner. We are heading out to replace this unit. YC19 Pin 2 on the feed image board should cycle 24 volts when the machine is adding toner from testing on a machine in the office. Not sure if the motor can take out the board if this unit locks up.

Im assuming this is the sensor that detects if a C7301 is occuring.

Motor and pipe. In the middle is a LED and sensor im assuming is the level sensor.
