    7551ci 11x17 crease

Getting a fuser crease the trailing half of the paper 11 x17, but only on bi-fold. If I run non folding single or duplex 11x17 they are fine.

First sheet is always fine, then all others are creased. The books are only 1 page, and it seems to have something to do with the delay where the sheet will sit at duplex/reg until the previous sheet is folded, then starts feeding into to fuser.

Hard stops shows crease happening in fuser, so it must be skewing into the fuser, but paper seems straight prior to fuser, but why only when doing bi-fold and not on non-folded duplex?

Going to try a new right side door first.

Thanks for any insight into this issue.

You could be losing your buckle at the registration roller, due to slippage, while the page is waiting for the previous page to fold.
If so, you might also notice a slight skew in the image on the 2nd side print.
The slight skew could be causing the paper to enter the fuser skewed, causing the wrinkle.
Maybe increase the buckle amount at the registration roller or see if the rollers holding the buckle need tension adjusted.

Do you by chance know the u mode that would increase the buckle, I don't recall ever needing to make this adjustment on a kyocera. I could look it up if you don't recall.

Whats the Paper brand and weight. They do matter.

Age of the machine, when the fuser was replaced last?

Does the cassettes feed true? Does it skew a tiny bit? (cas 1 and 2 were known to be wonky, never able to tighten, and the skew adj did very little)

    Fixed

    Thanks copydocinc,

    I set u051 duplex(L) from -11 to -6
To increase the registration buckle on large paper being duplexed. Worked like a charm.

Take out your feed units and check the four outer white rollers for tension Often there is none and the springs have to be stretched, but the biggest issue may be that the middle roller holder is likely worn from rotation of the roller shaft.

Ok. Thanks for the update. Sometimes, FW can fix these sort of issues.

Nice one for identifying the cause.
