KYOCERA DF-7110
Hi guys, and girls,
A lot of schools are printing packets for the students, due to the Covid-19 outbreak. These packets have numerous pages to them, some exceeding 50 and 60 pages. I service a couple of Kyocera 8002i at one of these schools. Both machines are equipped with Kyocera DF-7110 finishers. A user tells me she is getting a "ACCEPTABLE STAPLE COUNT EXCEEDED" message on the op panel when attempting to staple this many pages. She tells me it will staple some of them, and some it won't, then giving the error message.
Can anyone explain why it will staple, for instance 69 pages, once or twice, but then won't staple the same amount the following attempt?
Thanks heaps!

have you or the customer tried the same copy or print job on the other kyocera to see if it occurs there? or does it happen on both machines?

Re: KYOCERA DF-7110
If I'm not mistaken, the customer may have tried it on a like model. The media type settings were going to be my next plan of attack.

In addition to the maintenance / cleaning of the transport rollers, lubricate the steel rod where the stapler slides, clean all the sensors from paper dust and then perform the firmware update if it is not the latest version, it will also correct problems with the finishing station.
