    taskalfa 3500i

    paper jam from 1st cassete fequently. It looks like it pulls paper about 1cm or less and stops. Open and close paper cassete and continous. MAchine mada about 160k copies . I cleaned feed rollers with no result.

    The technician's ABC says to check the PM counters of the paper feeds and replace them if necessary.

    Have you tried swapping the tyres between cassette 1 & 2

    Agree to all above answers. 160k probably most of top drawer. If machine use one ways in rollers drive check them also, rollers may look/be good but if one-way slips its shaft...

    The feed units are a bit different ... not exchangeable. The higher speed models have an extra set of aligning rollers that can be an issue because of weak idler roller pressure. Those rollers do not exist on the lower speed models. =^..^=

    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

    Have you recently installed other options like a finisher?
    If so, try updating to the latest firmware....
