today i received brand new bulletin for Iris high systems.
Looks similar to this problem.
Haven`t seen it on this range up to yet, but maybe it can be helpfull in your case also, i think.

Looks similar but different machine. I haven't called it yet but we swapped the transfer belt from a different machine that had the old style belt without the yellow dot on it and so far we haven't had any issues. I was going to give it another week or two before saying it was corrected but will definitely update this thread when we call the customer next week and ask how it is doing.
I've got a 7002i that is on it's 2nd transfer belt assy for the same issue. I did not notice the crooked lines in the feed direction before/during the gray band. And the band is 100% K solid fill, not gray. The odd part is that the transfer belt change cures it for while.
I'm ordering the ferrite core now. I'm not entirely sure it's the same thing ... but I'll give it a go. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

the bulletin looks precisely like a 4551 I had last year with a roasted LKU K polygon motor
I just check the records, and it was 18 months and 265K images since the last occurrence. Not as frequent as I imagined. =^..^=

Did the old transfer belt without the yellow dot correct the problem?
We have a TA7002i and TA8002i with the same issue(black bands).

That's exactly what ours was doing and we replaced the belt with an older style belt and did the bulletin with the mylars. It has done it maybe twice since we did this and never while we are there so we just go clean everything and make sure it looks good.
