Kyocera taskalfa 3551ci Scanned/Copy image prints yellow background

Need help
Im experiencing this yellow background when printing for every scanned image. Its like behind text it is grainy

Tried to Replace
DV unit Y
DU unit Y
HV board

Tried to
Scan from different machine
Both printed same file
Other machine is okay
The faulty one still prints background

If i will calibrate
It will solve the issue and work for a couple of days

You need to use the scanner charts and follow the instructions in the manual, they are not cheap

What print driver is in use? KX driver ?
You are seeing registration creep or artefacts in the printed image. If your registration is shifting and 469 fixes it but it returns then you may have a engine board/laser issue.

Still it will print background behind the text

So scans are OK, but prints have registration shift?

I suggest that you do a color calibration. In the packages that contained the drum and the developing unit there was a piece of A4 paper telling you how to do it. Did you look at that piece of paper? =^..^=

The scanned file quality when checking in computer (zoomed in) will have some grainy shade back ground

It will attract yellow color in that particular grainy part behind the text.

The weird part this same file i printed on another machine (same model) it came out normal.


Recently i replaced itb unit for testing but still no luck
Tried to factory reset also
Still same issue.

Registration actually is okay.
Print report from machine and files coming from word or any apps are okay.

Firmware is listed. Then do order developer refresh, calibration and then toner curve. Out of service manual. Hope it helps. You may have to do developer refresh process a few times, not sure why it gets stubborn.

Is it being printed as full color, auto color or black and white. Might try auto color or black and white. Heck see it there is a difference for all of them just for the fun of it.
