TA-6551ci issues with power button on keypad

The power button on the keypad is unresponsive when the operator tries to power up the copier. This happens only in the morning. The button works fine when the machine is in sleep mode. When they turn the machine off and back on, it works fine. I have checked the connections on the operation panel and I have updated the firmware. Has anyone else seen this problem?

Firmware first, I had one that did this and the date and time was not correct. I put summertime on, and use time2.google.com and synchronize now.
