Does anyone have information that they can share on Bulletin 2K9-0040(D153)

I have a couple of 6501 jamming. The codes are 4201 and a 4601 and about the only thing, that ive found is a reference to the above bulletin...but since ive updated from win7 to 10 I no longer have access to astea alliance portal...

the following have been replaced just for good measure...
    1. the clutches in the cassette pu/drive assy as well as the clutch for the vertical roller behind said clutch pack.
    2. fuser
    3. fuser drive motor assy
    4. the registration motor assy...which appears to be what the above bulletin mentions

First of all, even with win10, internet explorer is still there hidden. Just type in the search bar internet explorer and you're all set to login to astea. Second that bulletin is for the 6500 not 6501. I believe the update would have been incorporated into the 01 series. I've attached the bulletin for you anyways. Good Luck

That bulletin is for the older 6500i, the new style registration assy was incorporated into the 6501 since launch as far as I know.

How often is it experiencing the jam events? are they evenly distributed between 42xx and 46xx jams?

does the paper actually arrive at the fuser exit sensor or the paper exit sensor, or does it stop before?

Is there any rust on the bottom of the chassis below the vertical conveying drive assy?(next to the power input area)

First off thanks for all the help.

I ended up installing a MK-A since it was time and the 4201 and 4601 jams went away and were replaced by 0511 from tray one and 0512 from the second tray. The final fix was 302K994331 PARTS MOTOR-BL W30 SP on the PARTS FEED DRIVE H UNIT SP.

maybe this can help someone in the future...if not at least I have a bread trail

    Thanks for sharing. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
