6002i pauses during print and copy jobs -- Video included

Hello all. New member here (contributed)

I have a 6002i (consider all 2 series the same) that pauses at random intervals during print and copy jobs. This happens from each cassette and MP tray.

Drum, dev, fuser are within in their maintenance. OEM toner is full. Firmware is current. No codes. Plain paper. Clean environment.

I've tried -- SIM 24, 21, reflash fw, replaced HDD.

My next shot is main pwb and another fuser. Unless one of you gents has an idea or better yet solved this yourself! Enjoy the video.

Check the cooling fans make sure filter is clean
Sounds weird but we had Kyocera do it at one account.

Thanks for the suggestion. No message other than the "processing copy job" at the bottom.

cooling fans down by the power supply
apparently if it gets too hot it goes into a cooling cycle it was a weird one


Not in any service manual from Kyocera surprise surprise

I have seen low power from the wall outlet, I beleive it cause the fuser to cycle,
check the wall outlet power

Not only a likely cause, but super easy to check.

Never overlook the simple stuff.

I have had a couple do that and there was paper behind the Bridge unit causing same issue but being it doe it on all trays is kinda odd. So yes could be main controller

I just ran into this we resolved it by replacing the power source pwb on a 5002i.
I guess low outlet voltage could do similar.
