see additional KDC info regarding C6950.

you also can use special FW upgrade procedure to eleminate "stuck in FW upgrade".
By this procedure you can delete the "FW error flag" and get back original error screen without "FW error****, 0801"
    e.g.
    1. FW upgrade during C6950/ F040 error message
    2. system stucks in "error IH pwb, 0801", "mail bin error, 0801" or else...
    3. upgrading from CTRL(main), ENG(engine) + Panl(panel) only
    4. C6950/ F040 error message again, no more stuck in FW error after restart
    5. Exchange from low voltage pwb
    6. running complete FW upgrade without ES_Skip.on file
    7. Done, system repaired, no more error.
    See enclosed sample leaflet.
(Also works on other systems like Alphard 1, Mercury, Tomcat, but won`t work on Iris series, because "FW error flag" would stored on SSD PWB instead of HDD or operation panel!!!)

    Great stuff, KYO.

    Thank you.

    Re: TA-3551ci: C6950 error code

I went out to the church today and the problem was indeed a bad Low Power Board. I replaced it and the machine booted up and worked like a charm. I didn't need to run the emergency firmware. I was kind of disappointed about that. I had it ready to go, though.

Thanks to everyone in this thread who helped me out. It's easy when I'm given the answer to the test. Thanks again.

Yes, indeed, thanks to all. I had my first C6950 on a 4550ci last week (older LVPS) and replaced it...machine good as new. Great forum here, gotta make another contribution to the cause.
    Cheers,
    Chris
