    kyocera M6526 grinding noise

error it gives is check the toner container, not properly installed. if i remove that toner and replace with a new one it makes a very loud grinding noise. when powering on the copier, or open and close the lid for the toners, it makes the grinding noise. i have replaced the toners(installed new ones out of the box), drums, developers, and transfer belt(all kyocera products). the toners are tk-592. i did find a tk-582 in the cyan, but replaced it with the proper tk-592c. i did pull the drums, developers, and transfer belt from another copier of the same model. the noise followed the move. so to me it has to be in one of those units. i don't have new drums or developers to test each part individually. though i do have 2 transerfer belts. either transfer belt i use still makes the noise. i have not done anything with the fuser. i was hoping someone had this issue before. thanks for any input. as johnny 5 said need more input......

    Re: kyocera M6526 grinding noise

I got a noise like this after doing a PM kit. I think the noise you may be hearing is the timing belt that drives the primary transfer cleaning. It's a very long thin belt, and the new transfer cleaning unit was significantly harder to turn than the old one. If you pull the left side cover you can see the belt.

Maybe I'm just lazy ... but rather than drag out the process of resolving it, I simply swapped the old transfer cleaner onto the new primary belt unit. It cleaned ... without noise. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
