Time for maintenance at Tray 1.
This message is at the bottom of the screen. I replaced all the feed tires at Tray 1 and cleared the counter @ U901. This didn't get rid of the message. What am I missing?

251 is the simulation for maintenance counts.

Thank you. That's what I was thinking. In the service manual for TA-3551, U251 doesn't show the option for setting the count for any of the trays but in the manual for the TA-3501 U251 does show the option for all of the trays.
I don't have a 3551 here at the shop so I can't check it out. Thanks again.

Perhaps Kyocera made a mistake in the manual? I don't know but I can't find it anywhere else. See images below for U251 for both 3551 & 3501.

I guess it's possible, it wouldn't be the first time. 251 is always where I've gone to reset those, I can look at our machine at work tomorrow morning just to see because I'm curious now.

This is kind of a guess here, but in the 3551ci manual, it shows no way to reset the maintenance counter for Tray 1 using U251. Or any tray. However, under U250 the preset value is 150k for every tray. I suppose each time a feed assembly is rebuilt that you kick the preset value up by 150k. Thus, the "time for tray 1 maintenance" won't be displayed again for another 150k. I'll find out tomorrow.
This is a pic of 251 on a 3551ci at our shop, like I said it must be a screw up when printing the manual.
