tasc alpha 4501i all paper drawers are working

the client says the machine is not working, i go and see that "all" the paper drawers are not functioning, not even the LCT okay i find paper behind drawer two crammed in the riser motor but not anywhere else, i re boot the machine, and still "all" the paper drawers are not functioning.
why would all the paper drawers mal function if just one had paper behind it? is there a re-set? in service mode? im not familiar with this model enough to have that on hand, im a ricoh KMinolta guy, any help would be appreciated thank you

What are the error codes?

When you say that all drawers aren't working, what do you mean exactly? The machine isn't recognizing them or they just won't lift?

Have you checked to see if you're getting voltage to the lift motors? But I would think that would throw a code. Check to make sure.

Also, run U906 and see if that clears the problem.

Yes the reset in service mode for a disabled function is U906.

When cassette errors are counted consecutively, they become locked-out and must be reset in maintenance mode (u906).
The errors will be recorded in the Event Log which can be printed(maintenance mode (u000), and it will lead you toward the original conditions that locked out the cassettes.

i did the U906 all are working except LCT, as usual, it was being used as storage,, !! so its been probably not working for a while, school teachers office,,, anyway unlike a ricoh or minota the drawers all go out if one fails? okay

The lockout should only apply to the specific tray that is malfunctioning. That event log probably has quite a story to tell!

yeah i guess it would... i find all kinds of things in the LCT and i make my speech about it not bing a storage unit,,,but i guess i dont speak very good English... when it runs out they dont re fill it and then its a nice little storage unit....

If the LCF is over-filled with paper, the excess paper will stall the PF motor and trigger a C26?? code, which isolates all the trays. It would help to look at the error log. =^..^=
