Had a few where the waste toner backs up, this is the only big issue I have seen with the 2 series. It is bit of a nightmare job replacing the waste drive, this can also damage the transfer & developer units at the same time.
Here is the bulletin

may i jump in?
if you had sell a Kyo Color MFP at around 30ppm.. which model has best reliability record.. 3253ci or 3553ci?
Did not the 3553ci begin life as the 3050ci? I feel like its been a good copier..
The 32xx im not so familiar with... did it start as the lighter weight 2550ci?
im lost on the Alphard designations...i took 3 years off to work at Costco.. im back, having a go as an independent tech
The KMxx52ci & KMxx53 series are almost identical, and a closer relative to the Hanabi than the Venus. All that being said, they corrected many of the problems on the Hanabi. The image quality seems to the more consistent. By now, all the defective fusers should be long gone. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Quick question. When I first started selling Kyocera this go around, I made the mistake of demoing a 4551ci side by side with another brand. I think it was a Ricoh. Not sure, but the color on the Kyocera looked crap in comparison. How do the 2-series stack up to the other brands as for a color and quality of print?
Assuming all these machines are properly maintained:
Better than Kyocera Alphard Venus
Better than Lexmark
Not as good as Toshiba
Not as good as Konica Minolta
Probably not as good as Ricoh or Canon, but it's been too long for me to know.

and Vivid mode in the KX driver helps Kyo color POP!
Low speed versus high speed differentiation.
Mainly its the consumables that are upgraded on the higher speed models to increase yield.
The engines look very similar. The maintenance modes are slightly more rudimentary on the low speed models. All the maintenance modes that you'd expect to see on the high speed models. =^..^=
