    KYOCERA FK-8550

Just wanted to ask if anyone has had to replace one of these fusers due to noise and also a buildup of rust colored powder within the fuser.
    I suspect bushings wearing out.
I have had about three on various 52/53 series machines both color and mono products.
I also have had to change a couple of these fusers that either give a error code and also in the case of some color machines have caused the toner covers to open.

Just putting it out there to see if others have had any of these issues.

Up to this point doing RMA replacements has helped without costing too much other than freight.

    I appreciate any responses.
    thanks
    Ed

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

look for confidential information about modified FK connectors from new Iris series (coming soon) regarding FK errors on Iris 1 + 2 (Seems to be well known on KYO side....)
Also maybe the FK unit wasn`t the reason
    Look for both other bulletins

    Re: KYOCERA FK-8550

    Appreciate the information.
I was aware of foreign material getting into connectors. (Bulletins)
The rust colored material is what I have encountered in most of my units.
    Thanks
