    Kyocera 3551ci cyan bands

I stopped by a customer's office to drop off toner on Friday. They were about to close but I did a quick check of the machine and noticed cyan bands. The bands get progressively lighter from the top of the page to the bottom until they fade away. I measured the repetitive bands : 1 9/16. It's kind of difficult to get a precise measurement because part of the bands fade from the first to second band and the circumference of the PCR is 1 1/2 and that's only 1/16in. difference from the mag roller.

    Thoughts? See image below.

Edit: The page count on the cyan DV & PCR is 94k.

Given the curve and distance I would guess the mag roller and to replace the dev unit.

Did you notice the spots from the cyan primary charge roller?
    =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

That wouldn't account for the curve to the line. Sorry. =^..^=

First off, I believe both of you that it's the mag roller. But would you like educate me on you line of thinking? I'd appreciate it.

Both the mag. roller and the pcr are round rollers. How can you determine that it's the mag. roller and not the PCR from looking at the curve of the cyan band? I need to know these things.

Edit: I didn't notice the spots from the PCR until you just pointed it out.

because of the TYPE of defect

are you measuring from beginning of band *darker lead edge* to the same

    or darker to fade?
