I wanted to visually see the id sensor shutter open and close.

I don't think there's any way to view that. Door Open will prevent running the service mode. And it will error out without the transfer belt EEPROM. You can only listen for the "click".

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Aww shame they don't let you run test routines with door open.

We created door switch set by 3D printer
See enclosed picture for all 4 locations.
Optical sensor for switch 2 is located on the left side behind the "A1".(It was easier to block "A1" by using the right position)
    Door switches Iris.JPG
Your ID sensors are working well, because you don`t get C7601(rear) or C7602(front).
To check surface from belt, take a look for U465/ Stress
Both values must be >90 and <478
Here my explanation for our field techs:
    U465/Stress,
    Checking after running U464/ Calib
    Values between 91 – 477, i.O.
    Sometimes Value 90 or 478:
Consider to replace TR Belt if image quality priorty
    Always Value 90 or 478:
Replace TR Belt if image quality is poor due to the belt

I think blackcat was on the right path with his first post. I think you can rule out the drums and developers. You can rule out the ID sensors. Basically that leaves you with the a drive issue, transfer belt or a possible laser problem.

What's the count on the transfer belt?

Also, I agree with KYO. You need to look at values of U465/Stress.

Wow love that you 3d printed parts to fool the machine. Weird it doesn't just let you do it anyway but suppose someone would jam there hand in the fuser to see if its turning..

Can you get a few close-ups of the interlock devices? I think I could make something up.

    Now i created short explanation....
You also can use pieces of paper or else and tape for blocking the parts.
Special keys normally not needed. (but easier...)
