Check that paper size and type on print job and cassette settings are the same.
If they are different printer asks paper from MP tray.
make the bypass size and type a weird size and type. then whenever you print letter or whatever it should pull from the cassette. assuming the cassette is set to the correct size. i agree with what was said above...
Make sure that your tray #1 is set to Auto (inch) or Auto (metric), and Plain media type.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have a customer who aren't very good at picking paper sizes etc... Anyway to just make it print on A4 if they send A5 etc? Easily without changing 50 pcs printer settings?
You could setup two printers one for tray 1 and one for tray 2
did the OP even check the USERS GUIDE for this problem? I.E. Paper Size Mis-Match or Paper Tray Configuration
