    5002i - C6600

Hey all, I'm a bit out of my element here as I typically work exclusively on Ricoh machines, but I am trying to get a Kyrocera TASKalfa 5002i up and running.

It has a C6600 code, which appears to be a fuser belt rotation error, I have replaced the fuser unit thinking that was the cause but no luck.

I don't have any service manuals besides what's provided online and I have no firmware for this machine as well.

I was leaning towards thinking it was the fuser drive gear assembly but don't even know where to order that part or if that's the cause.

Any suggestions or previous experience with this code/machine? I believe this thing is getting pretty old.

    Thanks

It’s likely the drive assembly I’ve had a few crack or break the fuser pressure release unit
They are getting on a bit now, but generally robust machines.

I'm betting that you did not do the U906 Partial Reset and U163 fuser reset after replacing the fuser. Was it a new fuser unit?

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I think Kyocera moved past 163 a while ago.

I did U906 and there was no U163 unless there’s a different service mode I need to get into.

ok so you agree it’s most likely the fuser drive gear assembly? Is that what you were saying?
anybody got a part number for this?

    thanks

Make sure that, When you close the door the coupler engages the fuser.

Machine first came out in 9/2016. Not that old.
