    Kyocera M4132idn Printer Suspending

I have a new install M4132idn about 2 months in the customer's office with 500 prints on it. The copier will not receive prints and says Suspending by Printer and Status Message under the Device Status page. It also isn't logging any prints in the job log. Their IT guy is going to reset the NIC and start over. He is verifying KX drivers, static IP (No WSD), checking what application they are using, etc. We never turned on Account Codes or anything that I know of. This customer is a far drive so I'm hoping this can be taken care of remotely.

The firmware was updated at install and was set up that day and printed as normal.

Has anyone seen this or any Kyos doing this before?

    Thanks in advance.

It sounds as though you haven't seen the machine yet.

If you can get it to reset, even temporarily, I would boot it up off the network, then print off the error log.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

This is just a long shot, but go into the print driver and under the Ports tab, go to Configure Port..., then uncheck SNMP Enabled. Click OK and Apply then try it.

If it works, then maybe the machine is telling the driver something it shouldn't.

If it doesn't work, then recheck SNMP Enabled because its something else.

Haven't lost anything but a bit of time.

Not often, but in the past I have come across a setting in the driver or a setting in the machine that come into conflict with something the customer is doing.
