Though encryption is not used by the vast majority of users it does allow a user to create their own 16 character encryption code that is needed to decipher the fax at the receiving end. I was just saying it was a dumb issue that caused so much of an issue with the customer that was such an easy fix that wasn't as easy to diagnose. I've never heard of it and I have been working on copiers for 30 years.
