I know this has been covered ad nauseam on this board but I had a call this morning for an F248 and I was able to locate the PC where the corrupt job originated. After clearing the corrupt print job the error is gone and they're able to print fine.


My solution to this error has always been to make sure that Auto Error Clear was turned on and for good measure I set the timer for 10-seconds. Thus far that has done the trick but not this time. The machine would display "cut power off and back on."


The firmware is up to date. Is there anything else that I can try that actually works?

Many of the causes of CF248 errors have been addressed with firmware.

Most of the remaining cases are associated with web-based applications, printing web pages, MacIntosh computers. If you have the option to "View As PDF", or "PDF View", or "Printable View", or "Download As PDF", these will print flawlessly. I don't have any suggestions for the MacIntosh's. =^..^=
