    Kyocera FS-4000dn Error 0150

I have seen other posts about this code where all it takes is upgrading the firmware to resolve the issue. The firmware for this printer is no longer on the Kyocera website and the only older firmware I have is the Engine firmware. Tried that and it didn't work. Do you have to upgrade all firmware (Engine, Main, Panel, etc) in order to clear this code? If so, where would I find the firmware?

Some history would be helpful, but your C0150 (Engine EEPROM) system is tied to the Main PWB EEPROM and strangely enough, the Drum and can commonly occur after improper Parts Replacement.

First make sure if you replaced the Engine or Main PWB that the original EEPROM was swapped into the new board correctly.

Generally, replacement of any EEPROM holding PWB from above must replaced individually so the single item can establish it's identity in the EEPROM system.

Replacing 2 of these parts at the same time will result in EEPROM failure, so they must be replaced individually.

If more than one element has been replaced, the old item must be returned to the device with only (1) new item (and powered up) so the system can register the new item, then proceed to the next item.

If parts were replaced (Engine PWB, MAIN PWB, DRUM) recently, you need to get them back.

    Otherwise it's a brick.

latest firm for that is ver. 14.00 but that code is chip reading error on the toner cartridge. I would try a different toner cartridge or you could be looking at a main board.

No parts were replaced. Happened during a print job

Has new OEM toner cartridge. Gives the code when trying to write image to drum (paper stops at reg roller). Since firmware is no longer on the website do you have any idea how to get it?

Question everything, assume nothing. If you want help, be helpful because we don't know what you know unless you tell us.

Ok, machine in the field which your dealership bought new? Or did it recently come to you. Was it recovered from an auto dealer as an ADP(CDK) machine with special firmware?
Are you using counterfeit chips for toner or anything?

Given the provided info, replace Engine PWB if you can get one, but is it really worth fixing?
